A one day road bike ride throughout scenic Manistee and Benzie Counties
Welcome to the Big Bear Sportsman’s Club annual “Big Bear Butt Cruise” taking place on Saturday, August 22, 2026. This annual cruise is composed of four different rides: 60k, 130k, 170k and a 210k ride. All will take you across Tippy Dam and on some of Manistee and Benzie County’s best roads across our beautiful rivers, through our scenic forests and out to the majestic bluff views of Lake Michigan.
Special thanks to the Manistee County Tourism Authority…
for making this great video. Here you will see and experience some of the amazing views and vistas along the Big Bear Butt Cruise throughout Manistee and Benzie County.

Explore Manistee County’s Outdoor Recreation
Paddle our Rivers: With 250+ river miles to explore… there is no shortage of paddling and fishing opportunities on the rivers of Manistee. Here you will find a complete list of rivers in our region and recommended routes, trips and float times.
BigM Mountain Bike Trails: Enjoy 40+ miles of mountain biking trails carved out of the Manistee National Forest. This well-marked, loop trail system sweeps through canopied hardwoods, which connects with the North Country Trail system. The challenging terrain offers an adventure for many experience levels, as it is divided into 4 segments of varied difficulty. The varied elevations along rolling wooded trails makes this trail system a popular year round destination for outdoor adventurers.
Arcadia Dunes Hike & Bike Trails: Arcadia Dunes offers everything from beginner to challenging trails for hiking and mountain biking. Enjoy the simple, but beautiful Old Baldy trail as it leads you through dense hardwoods to the beautiful dune bluffs of Lake Michigan. A universally accessible, non-motorized trail offers a half-mile paved trail to a scenic dune overlooking Lake Michigan.
The Dry Hill Trail from the St. Pierre trailhead is a 10 mile loop known to mountain bikers as some of the best single track riding in the region.
